New Year's Eve Reflections

Paul and I met on New Year's Eve December 31, 1981, 36 years ago as of today. His big brown eyes are what took my breath away. He said of all the girls he saw that night I was the one he wanted to get to know. Little did we realize that night that we would get married and have 4 beautiful, amazing children together.
Every New Year's since then we always went on a date as a way to remember when we first met.
Since Paul is now in his heavenly home, I will begin something new, my daughters will join me for a turkey dinner and later tonight to a local diner for music and ambiance.
Thank you for visiting today.
Happy New Year.

Memory Tree

This tree was very small when we received it 9 years ago.  This tree was a gift to our family in memory of our son Joe.  It has grown to this size now, simply amazing!  In this post http://ajoyfulheartjourney.blogspot.com/2017/06/moments-i-want-to-remember.html I talked about how much Paul enjoyed watching the deer roam on our property.
The night Paul died, on February 19, 2017 we happen to notice deer gathered around this tree.  Perhaps this was God's way of  telling us Paul was ok.
Thank you for visiting, have a blessed day.
