Comforting Bible Verses

Tucked inside my Bible is a folded piece of paper that I received with verses that bring comfort, and I would like to share them with you. Feel free to print this page and use it as you would like. All verses use the New Living Translation.

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. (Psalm 56:8).

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, for the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. (Isaiah 61:1).

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed. (Psalm 34:18).

Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7).

For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and hope. In those days, when you pray, I will listen. If you look for Me wholeheartedly, you will find Me. (Jeremiah 29:11-13).

He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds. (Psalm 147:3).
