Good Friday is a sad, solemn day. Knowing how much Jesus suffered for us is heartbreaking. God provided hope by raising Jesus on the third day. Jesus showed Himself alive to many after His death in the following Scriptures:

• They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” “They have taken my Lord away,” she said, “and I don’t know where they have put Him.”At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking He was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried Him away, tell me where you have put Him, and I will get him.”Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). John 20-13-16 (NIV)
• Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet, and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see Me.” Matthew 28:9-10 (NIV)
• He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself! Touch Me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”When He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet. Luke 24:38-40 (NIV)

"So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit." John 19:30 (NIV)


Did you know there is no sin God cannot forgive? Jesus took all our past, present, and future sins when He died on the cross. That is why He said, "It is finished." May you hold onto this and know you are forgiven in the eyes of God. Romans 5:8 also tells us, "but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us."
Let us pray together;
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to take our sins and that we are forgiven. We are thankful that we will have eternal life because of His death and rising again.

Happy Resurrection Sunday! Today we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead after being laid in the tomb, on Good Friday.  His resurrection promises us life in heaven, we need only to believe in His death on the cross that took our sins and believe in His resurrection into heaven.  We can rejoice in this promise and as it says in 1 Peter 1:6 "In this, you can greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed with many trials." We all are distressed with the many trials in this life, may we keep our focus on His resurrection.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the resurrection of Your Son Jesus into heaven.
We are feeling distressed with the many trials in this life. Help us dear Heavenly Father, to keep our focus on the resurrection of Jesus. We thank you for the inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away reserved in heaven for us.

In John 19:30 Jesus said, “It is finished”. Thank you, Jesus, for taking all of our past, present and future sins to the cross. We are forever grateful. Thank you for being our savior. Amen.
