Keep The Faith

One Bible verse that stays near to my heart is: Hebrews 11:1 "Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen."
This Bible verse also connects with John 20:29 "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed.  Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"  This is when Jesus appeared to the disciples after He had ascended into heaven. Thomas did not believe that Jesus had come back to visit them.  Thomas said "Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe"
This is us right now-our generation you and I are the people Jesus was talking about-"Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed". We believe even though we have not seen. This is our blessed hope.
Jesus took our past, present and future sins to the cross. The disciples asked Jesus in John 16:28-29 "What shall we do, that we  may work the works of God? Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent".  We believe that God sent His Son Jesus to save us.
He's preparing a place for us.  He said in John 14:1-3 "Do let your hearts be troubled.  You believe in God, believe also in me.  My Father's house has many rooms, if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? I will come back and take you to be with me and that you also may be where I am."
With all the things happening in the world right now, we may be very well getting close to the time when Jesus is coming to take us home.  Luke 21:28 When all these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your head, because your redemption is drawing near".

Faith in the Lord is my blessed hope, I see Him in the beauty of the everyday. The photo above is a prime example of His masterpiece.  This photo was taken in July of 2016.  We were surrounded by the Lord's creations, the water, the skies, the trees, so, so beautiful.
Before my son died, and now that my husband has died, my faith in the Lord was there, and it continues to be with me to this very day.  Without faith there is no way I could make it through.  Not to say there are days when I feel sadness and there are tears, this is part of human nature.  On those sad days, I turn to the Lord in prayer and I'm reminded of another Bible verse: Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
