Reflections at 2 Years

Today is the 2 year "anniversary" since my husband Paul passed away.
I miss Paul everyday, and as I had mentioned in this post;-it's "the little things" that I miss the most:https://ajoyfulheartjourney.blogspot.com/2017/05/the-little-things.html
I'm always discovering "the little things" that I miss. One in particular, is that Paul would turn the lamp on for me that was on our living room end table because he knew I would like to read after we were done with supper. When I turn that lamp on now, sometimes I cry, and other times I'm thankful he did that for me. Perhaps, you as well, are missing someone you love, and there are "the little things" you miss. Feel free to comment below or send me an email. I would love to hear about "the little things" you are missing.
In my sadness and grief, I turn to Scripture for encouragement. John 16:22 "So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you."
Indeed we feel sadness now, and we have to find ways to deal with this sadness. One way may be to keep a gratitude journal and reflect on gratitude.
We will have eternal life and have joy that will never end with this promise John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life". Jesus took all our sins, past, present and future sins to the cross so that we will have eternal life. This is so comforting to have this promise.
Thank you for visiting my small, humble blog.
God's blessings to you as you reflect on the "little things" and on God's promises.
With love,
Patty
