Begin Each Day With A Grateful Heart

My blog is a place where I share my reflections on finding joy through grief. One way that has helped me find joy through grief is to have Scripture verses, positive quotes and words surrounded near me. I put these in photo frames, and purchase pictures to hang on the wall. One quote that helps me is "Begin Each Day With A Grateful Heart" I have this quote in a photo frame on my desk at work and also this same quote in a photo frame on my kitchen counter top. On the wall of my living room, I have this Scripture verse "Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies." Psalm 36:5. Another Scripture verse on a plaque I received, applies to each and everyone of us-"The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me" Psalm 138:8. My daughter even made me a sign that says "Welcome Home".
Another thing that has helped me find joy through grief is to write my thoughts in a journal. It helps me to get my thoughts on paper. In my journal I like to write Scripture verses in my own handwriting. In this article from Bible Gateway they talk about how writing Scripture verses in your own handwriting can be helpful to slow down the process of reading Scripture. I have included the link here if you would like to read more about this process- https://www.biblegateway.com/resources/scripture-engagement/hand-copying-scripture/home
Most importantly, I pray that the Lord will continue to help me find joy through grief.  I pray that you too will find joy through grief.
Perhaps you may have found some ways that have helped you find joy. Feel free to add them to the comments below or send me an email.
Thank you for visiting my small, humble blog.
May God bless you each and every day.
With love,
Patty
