"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this, you can greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed with many trials" 1 Peter 1:3-6

Happy Resurrection Sunday! Today we celebrate Jesus rising from the dead after being laid in the tomb, on Good Friday.  His resurrection promises us life in heaven, we need only to believe in His death on the cross that took our sins and believe in His resurrection into heaven.  We can rejoice in this promise and as it says in 1 Peter 1:6 "In this, you can greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed with many trials." We all are distressed with the many trials in this life, may we keep our focus on His resurrection.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the resurrection of Your Son Jesus into heaven.
We are feeling distressed with the many trials in this life. Help us dear Heavenly Father, to keep our focus on the resurrection of Jesus. We thank you for the inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away reserved in heaven for us.
