Father's Day 2020

Father's Day is a day to give honor to fathers. This day was initially founded by Sonora Smart Dodd.  The very first Father's Day was celebrated in June of 1910.
My father is alive and well at the age of 88. He is a wealth of knowledge from history, nature, and everything in between. I love him! Today, to honor my father and my mother we will share a meal together as a family which includes my sister's family and my brother's family.
My late husband Paul grilling
Father's Day also brings me sadness without my husband, Paul, the father of my three daughters. We miss him every day.  Each Father's Day, he would be at the grill cooking up something special for our dinner.
Today may be a mixture of emotions of happiness and sadness for you as well. Maybe your father is no longer here, and you miss him. Perhaps your father is here, yet some illness has taken over him. Maybe the father of your children is no longer here. Please know I care and share in your sorrows.
May the words from God bring comfort to you -
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy dwelling."  Psalm 68:5
"Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life."
                                              Psalm 54:4

With love,
Patty
