New Memories-Mini-Vacation With My Daughters

My three daughters and I went on a mini-vacation to northern Minnesota. It has been nearly five years since I've visited Duluth, Minnesota. Spending time in Duluth, surrounded by Lake Superior, brings me a sense of calm and relaxation. I'm standing on the rocks with a ship in the background.
After spending the afternoon in Duluth, we drove a half-hour from Duluth to Two Harbors, where we rented an AirB&B for two nights. Our itinerary was light, with time to visit a few destinations nearby, Gooseberry Falls and Split Rock Light House. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous.

What I loved most about this mini-vacation was spending time with my daughters. There was lots of laughter and great conversations.
Although we always miss our lost loved ones, my son, Joe-their brother, and my husband, Paul-their father, we are making sure to create new memories.
How do you feel about creating new memories as you journey through grief? I would enjoy hearing your thoughts. Feel free to comment below.

With love,
Patty
