The Lord Really Does Care For Each Of Us

My weekend mornings are spent reading, writing, and praying. As I sit in my chair facing the east, the sun illuminates my apartment, letting me know the Lord is bringing in another day.
He's the creator of the universe, yet He cares about every detail of our lives. There are so many Scripture verses that give proof that the Lord cares about us, and I would like to share some of them in this post:
  • "Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Luke 12:6-7 (NIV)
God doesn't forget the sparrows, and He has numbered the very hairs on our heads. We are worth more than sparrows, and this is so amazing.
  • "Therefore, I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Matthew 6:27-28 (NIV)
These Scripture verses in Matthew affirm what was said in the verses in Luke above. God feeds the birds; we are much more valuable than them. Very reassuring.

  • "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
We can cast all our cares, worries, and anxiety on Him. His word tells us clearly that He cares for us. Amen.

  • "Cast your cares on the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken." Psalm 52:22 (NIV)
Yes, there are and will be times when we do indeed feel shaken. This Scripture verse gives us another reassurance that the Lord cares for us.

Let us pray together;
Dear Heavenly Father,
Help us as only You can to know and trust that You care for us. When we are unsure, remind us that Your word gives us reassurance.
In the name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen

May you rest this week knowing the Lord cares for you.

With love,
Patty
