Broken Dishes

Within the last month, I have had three items of glass shatter into a million pieces. One item was a small bowl-which slid off the shelf before I could catch it; another item was an even larger bowl on which I actually lost my grip, and the last item was a glass candle holder that also slid off the shelf before I could catch it. While cleaning up the glass (for the third time!) and being careful, of course, not to cut myself, I started thinking that we all are broken in one way, shape, form, or another. Since we live in an imperfect world, we need hope. Where can we find hope? We can bring our brokenness to the Lord and ask Him for hope. The Lord loves us more than we can comprehend. We may never fully understand how much love He has for us until we meet Him face to face in our heavenly home. We can take refuge in Him-"How precious is your steadfast love, Oh God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings." Psalm 36:7
A prayer for all of us who are broken:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Today, we bring our brokenness to You. You are the one that knows our brokenness, and we ask that You take all the broken pieces of our lives and restore them in only the way You can.
Thank you for your steadfast love and that we can take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
In Jesus name,
Amen

Thank you for visiting my small, humble blog.

With love,
Patty
