At The Door

When I was a young girl growing up, at both my maternal and paternal grandparents' homes, they had a painting on each of their walls of a man standing by a door. My grandparents on both sides were of different denominations (I feel it is important to mention that God loves us all, no matter the denomination).
Since this painting was at both of their homes, I felt there must be some significance behind it.
I did eventually ask about the painting. It was explained to me that it was Jesus, the Son of God, knocking on the door of your heart to allow Him in to be a part of your life. There is no door handle on the outside where He is knocking; the opening is on our part. This Bible verse explains it best-“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends." (Revelation 3:2 NLT).
Jesus wants to be a part of our lives, yet He will never force Himself; Jesus loves us and cares for us.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you that you sent Your Son Jesus to be our Savior. Help us to have a willing heart to invite Jesus to be a part of our lives.
In the name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen

Thank you for visiting my small, humble blog.

With love,
Patty
