Seeking Joy

 I like going for walks outdoors most days of the week. Walking clears my mind and helps me focus on God's beauty. Since I'm in a cubicle for most of my workday, it feels great to be in the open air. The simplicity of walking brings me joy.
At times, the circumstances in our life, we may not feel any joy. That's ok; we can begin seeking joy in simple things;
~fresh flowers.
~spending time with your pets.
~share a smile with someone in the grocery store.
~sipping on a cup of coffee, tea, or hot cocoa.
~spend time with children; their joy is contagious.
~send a card in the mail to someone, letting them know you are thought of them today.
Seeking joy is an ongoing practice. Something I work on as well.

Let us pray together,
Dear Heavenly Father,
Seeking joy can become a challenge when life is tough. Please help us to seek joy whenever possible. Help us to keep this Bible verse hidden in our hearts;
"You have made known to me the paths of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence" Acts 2:28.
In the name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen
