Well, we made it through the first week of 2022. How do you feel about the new year? Do you like to look at it as new possibilities, or do you look at it as the same ole same ole? Whichever way you look at the new year, it is ok. There is no right or wrong way. I'm somewhere between feeling like it is the same ole same ole. And yet, I also like to look at the new year with fresh eyes, praying for new possibilities that Lord will guide me along the way.

We can be confident that the Lord loves us. We can face each day knowing His compassions never fail and they are new every morning:

"Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. I say to myself, 'The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for Him.'" - Lamentations 3:22-24 (NIV)

Let us pray together,

Dear Heavenly Father,

As we begin a new year, help us remain confident in Your love. We are thankful that Your compassions never fail and that they are new every morning.
